The Domestic Animal Diversity Network (DAD-Net) is managed by the Animal Production and Health Division of FAO. The purpose of this electronic service is to provide an informal forum for the discussion of issues relevant to the management of animal genetic resources at national, regional and international level, particularly characterization, conservation, utilization, breeding, data and information management, training and education, emergency planning and response, research and technology transfer.
