In these exercises the students familiarise with a computer lab for estimation of expected genetic gain in cattle breeding, allowing for variable population structures and trait parameters. The assignment is given in
a pdf-file and Excel-files are used for calculating genetic gain in one and two traits, respectively.
The exercises are provided by the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics,
Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden.
